Introducing Facilities Service Central: Your One-Stop Hub for Facility Requests 

Facilities Service Central (FSC) is a brand new, web-based portal designed to simplify the way students, faculty, and staff report facility concerns and request service. There, users can report issues, track requests, and communicate with facilities teams at any time of day.

The Department of Residential Facilities maintains and provides housekeeping services for more than 70 residence halls, Greek chapter houses, and recreational facilities at the College Park campus, covering over 2.7 million square feet. With a team of over 300 staff members, including student employees, our mission is to enhance the student experience by creating and caring for the campus environment.

Service Request

You can report a facility issue by visiting Facilities Service Central's web-based portal. There, you can easily submit requests, track progress in real time, upload images and documents, and manage everything in one place. 

For emergency facility issues, contact our 24-hour Service Center at 301-314-9675.

Keys and Access

Our in-house Access Systems staff installs, manages, and maintains the residence hall electronic security and card access systems. 

A staff member is on-duty 24/7 to respond to urgent maintenance issues.

  • Honoring Excellence: Housekeepers Recognized for Outstanding Service at University of Maryland

    Six deserving housekeepers were honored on September 26, 2024, during the Appreciation Luncheon at the University House, University of Maryland. Rubia Martinez, Rose Etienne, Abigail Lopez, Magdala Bauge, Maria Lozano, and Rosalba Guillen were recognized alongside housekeepers from Facilities Management for their outstanding work ethic and service to students. They received certificates of appreciation from President Pines and enjoyed a special lunch in their honor. The event was attended by their supervisors, managers, department leadership, and other university leaders.
