John Blackwood

Meet John Blackwood, Associate Director of Facilities Maintenance.
John brings over 20 years of technical and operational expertise in facilities management and electric transmission. He is skilled at managing complex projects across multiple locations while balancing priorities, controlling costs, and delivering high-quality results. Known for his safety performance and exemplary customer service, John has a track record of developing innovative solutions to exceed goals.

Currently serving as Interim Director, John previously led a team of 6-8 managers and 70 personnel in Residential Facilities, overseeing the maintenance of more than 3 million square feet of residential and recreational spaces.. His team handles everything from routine and emergency maintenance to health and life safety systems, snow removal, and more.

John is a committed and inclusive leader who believes in leading by example. He maintains an open-door policy, fostering communication and collaboration within his team. Outside of work, John enjoys spending time with his wife and son, watching Jeopardy!, completing his daily Wordle, and playing games like Scrabble and Yahtzee.
