Meet Andrew Van Der Stuyf, Director of Residential Facilities.

Andrew brings over 25 years of experience in facilities management, spanning both higher education and the private sector. He holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York, Maritime College, and a master of engineering degree from the University of Maryland's Clark School of Engineering.

Prior to this role, Andrew served as Associate Director of Facilities Management and Capital Projects at the University of Baltimore, providing strategic leadership for campus operations and overseeing renovations and new facility projects. He also was Director of Building Services at George Washington University, where he managed building trade functions, established quality service protocols, and solved complex facilities challenges.

Before returning to Residential Facilities as Director, Andrew spent 14 years as Assistant Director for Project Management (2006–2020), leading large-scale transformations including the construction of Oakland Hall and Prince Frederick Hall.

Fun Fact: Andrew enjoys outdoor activities and is an avid college football fan. He is especially proud to volunteer at the Liberty Ship John W. Brown, one of the last fully operational World War II steamships in Baltimore Harbor.
