This training session will focus on developing the ability to consider situations from the perspectives of others, particularly in cases of miscommunication, misunderstanding, or situations that require thoughtful resolution. Through discussing empathy in communication, what it looks like to see through a different lens, and defining self-advocacy, participants will explore strategies to recognize and appreciate diverse viewpoints and pathways of understanding.

Learning Day will take place in-person at the Brendan Iribe Center (see directions) on Thursday, January 9, 2025. Get familiar with the building and view the floor plans before your arrival.

All staff 

  • All staff may park in Lot 11 on Paint Branch Drive next to the Field Hockey and Lacrosse Complex. 
  • Service Building staff may park in their assigned Lot J parking on Diamondback Drive and make the short walk to the Brendan Iribe Center.

  • If you have a temporary Hotel permit you may park in any of the two lots behind The Hotel on Diamondback Drive and Testudo Way.
