Six deserving housekeepers were honored on September 26, 2024, during the Appreciation Luncheon at the University House, University of Maryland. Rubia Martinez, Rose Etienne, Abigail Lopez, Magdala Bauge, Maria Lozano, and Rosalba Guillen were recognized alongside housekeepers from Facilities Management for their outstanding work ethic and service to students. They received certificates of appreciation from President Pines and enjoyed a special lunch in their honor. The event was attended by their supervisors, managers, department leadership, and other university leaders. Among the attendees were Vice President for Student Affairs Patty Perillo and Assistant Vice President Colleen Wright-Riva, who applauded the honorees for their contributions to the university.
