Introducing Facilities Service Central: Your One-Stop Hub for Facility Requests
Reporting a facility issue at UMD is about to get easier! Launching on April 7, 2025, Facilities Service Central (FSC) will serve as a brand-new, web-based portal designed to simplify the way students, faculty, and staff report facility concerns and request service.
Our Commitment to Excellence
The Department of Residential Facilities maintains and provides housekeeping services for more than 70 residence halls, Greek chapter houses, and recreational facilities at the College Park campus, covering over 2.7 million square feet. With a team of over 300 staff members, including student employees, our mission is to enhance the student experience by creating and caring for the campus environment.




Service Request
Contact our 24-hour Service Center at 301-314-9675 for emergency and non-emergency matters.
Pro tip: Have your UID, room number, and building information ready before calling.
Examples of emergency requests: leaking pipes, floods, lock problems, smoke, heating/cooling failures

Keys and Access
Our in-house Access Systems staff installs, manages, and maintains the residence hall electronic security and card access systems.
A staff member is on-duty 24/7 to respond to urgent maintenance issues.
